Black Family
Connection

About

Welcome to the Black Family Connection (BFC)! We are a stabilization program focused on giving you and your family the culturally specific tools and resources you need to stand strong and independent.

Our goal is to create a space for you to set your own goals and own your achievements. We aren’t here to do the work for you—we are here to work with you as you grow, whether that’s in the short-term or over the long haul.

Healing & Growing Together

Together, we continue to "Be the Healing". We use Dr. Joy DeGruy’s Change Theory to help identify and remove the barriers that get in the way of your success.

The BFC is built on a Relationship Model. We’ve curated amazing partnerships and community support so that BPI can offer you unique experiences and link you directly to a supportive village and a wider support system.

A Village Focused on Your Success

Everything we do at the BFC is seen through a culturally specific lens. We focus on stabilization by building a positive cultural identity and helping you grow both personally and professionally.

We also lean into the wisdom of Dr. Joy DeGruy to help our community heal from Post Traumatic Slave Syndrome. We look at how systemic oppression shows up in everyday life—like in politics, law, medicine, education, media, and economics—and we work together to navigate those spaces from a place of strength.
